Kevin Bieksa has a hilarious take on the fake Team Canada roster that's floating around
On Friday morning, a graphic began to show up on social media depicting a "finalized" Team Canada Olympic Men's Hockey roster with a TSN logo at the bottom, boasting names like Dany Heatley, Joffrey Lupul, Mike Richards and several other former NHLers. You can see the image below.
The reactions to the fake roster were mostly fun, but perhaps none more fun than the reaction of Sportsnet's Kevin Bieksa, who found his own name on that list in one of the 8 roster spots dedicated to defensemen.
Bieksa, who is always looking for a punchline to make people laugh, took to Twitter to give his input on how the roster would actually do, if given the opportunity to travel to Beijing. Here's what he had to say.
"Not sure if this sounds cocky or not but I can almost guarantee this team would medal in Beijing. 3 week training camp and we're off!! You can even throw @MichaelBuble on the 5th line for optics."
Bieksa is certainly one of a kind! You have to appreciate that fun-loving personality. By the way, Kevin.. that definitely does come across as pretty cocky - but we love it!
