The Toronto Maple Leafs are just a couple of weeks away from the start of training camp and have locked up an important part of the organization with a new extension.
A busy summer for the Maple Leafs organization continues, and with training camp on the immediate horizon, the team has taken care of an important piece of business off the ice.
Maple Leafs Bringing Back A Key Figure For 2025-26 Season
On Thursday morning, long-time Maple Leafs PA announcer Mike Ross confirmed that he has been extended by the team and will be back behind the mic at Scotiabank Arena for the 10th consecutive season.

The news of the extension for Mike Ross comes on the heels of another key hire for the organization, as Sportnet's Ryan Leslie was hired by the Maple Leafs as their new team host, providing in depth pre-game and post-game coverage, as well as sharing breaking news and facilitating player and coach interviews for the team.
The Leafs are coming into the 2025-26 season having endured some fairly significant changes following the departure of Mitch Marner, who was shipped off to Vegas ahead of free agency.
There are some interesting storylines to follow this year when training camp opens, including rookie sensation Easton Cowan appearing determined to earn a roster spot on opening night.
