After being a last-second scratch from Saturday's game versus Buffalo, Leafs head coach Craig Berube clarifies William Nylander's injury status.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been dealing with the injury bug this past week with defenseman Chris Tanev being placed on the injured reserve, defenseman Morgan Rielly missing last night's game, and then William Nylander being forced out of Friday's game.
Heading into their rematch against Buffalo on Saturday, the Leafs kept their cards to close the vest all the way up to warm-ups. Both Rielly and Nylander participated and were expected to play before Nylander was scratched at the very last second.
It was initially deemed as an undisclosed injury, but after their 4-3 overtime win, head coach Craig Berube confirmed that Nylander is dealing with a lower body injury.
The veteran bench boss also added that he is doing better, considering the fact that he almost played tonight, and that they're hopeful he can make a return ahead of Tuesday's game against Calgary.
Heading into warm-ups, both Easton Cowan and Nicholas Robertson were expected to play with Nylander back in the lineup, which meant Calle Jarnkrok was going to be a healthy scratch.
The veteran Swede eventually made his way back into the lineup with Nylander ruled out and returned to his fourth line role with Steven Lorentz and Max Domi.
The lineup shuffle also pushed Robertson to the top line with Bobby McMann and Auston Matthews, while the other two lines remained the same with Cowan sticking by Nicolas Roy and Dakota Joshua, and Matias Maccelli next to John Tavares and Matthew Knies.
The Leafs are off until Tuesday when they kick off another back-to-back as they host the Calgary Flames on the 28th of October and then visit the Columbus Blue Jackets on the 29th.
The Leafs are hopeful that Nylander will be back in time, but if he remains out, they will more than likely run the same lineup, considering they pulled off a gritty victory.
