Stars coach Rick Bowness disciplined for throwing a tantrum on the bench on Sunday
Dallas Stars head coach Rick Bowness was slapped with a stiff fine due to an outburst he had following the Stars' game against the St. Louis Blues on Sunday, which they lost by a score of 2-1.
Bowness was very displeased with how the game unfolded and was irrate on the bench, slamming a stick into the boards repeatedly before exiting rinkside and heading to the locker room. You can see the video below.
As a result of his outburst, the NHL issued Bowness a $25,000 fine, which will ultimately go to the NHL Foundation.
Hey - at least he didn't badmouth any officials!
