It was a rough night for the Dallas Stars in Edmonton on Wednesday as not only did the Stars drop 2 valuable points to the Oilers in a 5-2 loss, but captain Jamie Benn may have gotten the worst of it.
During the contest, Oilers defender Darnell Nurse caught Benn in the neutral zone with his head down and promptly connected with a hard check that sent the veteran forward crashing over the boards and into the Oilers bench.
Benn seemed to have a pretty good sense of humour about the whole thing, as did Nurse's teammate, Connor McDavid. Benn plays a hard-nosed game, but I'm certain he hasn't been on the receiving end of too many of these types of hits.
