Toronto Marlies forward and soon-to-be Olympian Josh Ho-Sang spoke with the media on Wednesday about his being selected to represent Team Canada at the Olympics. Ho-Sang had many things to say today when asked about the Olympics and his future in the NHL.
A few months ago, if someone told Josh Ho-Sang that he'd be headed to the Olympics he said he would've "laughed in their face." Now with the NHL players unable to attend and Ho-Sang's hard work and quality play with the Marlies this season, his Olympic dreams are about to become a reality.
Team Canada wasn't the only hot topic with Ho-Sang today. He was also asked about his NHL future after the Olympics. Ho-Sang hinted that he will consider offers outside of Toronto but he wants to speak with Kyle Dubas beforehand.
Ho-Sang clearly has a lot of respect for Dubas and the opportunity he has given him. During his availability, Ho-Sang said that "any NHL team that's potentially knocking is because of Kyle."
The 26-year-old's hard work and change in mentality this season has resulted in a chance to represent his country at the Olympics and it could mean we see Ho-Sang in the NHL sooner rather than later, whether that be in Toronto or elsewhere is still to be determined.
