Before his first time playing at the centre of the hockey universe, Bedard got a taste of the rabid fanbase in Montreal, even getting some boos from the Bell Centre crowd when he touched the puck. Classic Original Six treatment, as it were. As it turns out, though, some of those boos may have been warranted.
Bedard was stopped while leaving the ice after morning skate by a couple of young fans asking to have their jerseys signed and wanting to take a couple of selfies with the young phenom. The first, he obliged, signing the kid's Blackhawks jersey. The second fan was not so lucky, Bedard refused to sign a Cole Caulfield Montreal Canadiens jersey - understandably so.
It looked like Bedard was simply uncomfortable signing a jersey from another team. That's fair. That won't stop Habs fans from seeing the video, getting offended and more than likely booing Bedard for the foreseeable future. Hell hath no fury like a Habs fan scorned.
