Max Domi was forced to begin Maple Leafs training camp on the sidelines after suffering an unfortunate injury, but the latest update sounds promising.

After a very long summer, chock full of change in Toronto, the Maple Leafs are finally back at it with the start of NHL training camps. Unfortunately, Max Domi could not join the main group on Day One.
On Wednesday, Leafs GM Brad Treliving informed the media in Toronto on the Leafs' media and marketing day that Domi had suffered an injury while training and would not be able to suit up for the first on-ice sessions.
Domi has remained largely very healthy during his tenure in Toronto, but injuries are unavoidable, and eventually, the injury bug bites everyone.

Thankfully, it does not appear that Domi's injury is of any real concern, as the forward may have missed the first camp sessions on Thursday, but he did skate on his own before the main groups took to the ice.
What this tells us is that Domi's injury is very short-term in nature. Generally speaking, if there were any real concerns about his health, he would not have resumed skating straight away.
Domi was back on the ice on Friday morning as well, though we must still await the main group to see if Domi remains out with them or not.
Treliving did mention that Domi's issue was more day-to-day, so he could very well join the team on the ice over the next few days as camp begins to ramp up here.
Matias Maccelli was elevated to the top line with Matthew Knies and Auston Matthews on Thursday, but Domi still appears to be the frontrunner for that top line RW spot, according to Leafs coach Craig Berube.
