The Leafs trying to build up Campbell's confidence in a unique way before Game 7

Tonight is a big one, ladies and gentlemen. Tonight is for all the marbles. Win and move on or lose and start scheduling tee times. The Leafs have done plenty of the latter over the last 5 seasons, and they haven't done the former since 2004.

There is a lot of pressure on this Leafs team to win, but I don't think anyone is putting more pressure on them to win this series than they are themselves. We heard earlier this week from goaltender Jack Campbell that the Leafs were focused on winning a Stanley Cup for the vets who are running out of time in Jason Spezza, Wayne Simmonds and Mark Giordano. We know that Campbell puts a lot of pressure on himself, so what the Leafs were doing at Saturday's morning skate was very important.

During the morning skate, any time Campbell made a big save, his teammates in attendance were mimicking the crowd chat "Souuuup" that seems to build his confidence in big moments during games. There are quite a few players who must be feeling immense pressure to win this one, but it's arguable that Jack Campbell is among those who are feeling it the most. This gesture by his teammates is a big one, in my opinion. If Campbell can come in with the mindset that he's already on a roll before the game even begins, it could give the Leafs a leg up on the competition.

The puck is set to drop shortly after 7:00pm ET at Scotiabank Arena. Hopefully Campbell comes ready, but more importantly, hopefully the boys in front of him can provide him with plenty of goal support to make his job a little bit easier.
