The Dallas Stars have officially forced a Game 7 against the Calgary Flames with a win on Friday night at home and as close as this series has been, it's really anyone's guess who will be moving on. But, while the Stars picked up the win on home ice, they also suffered a loss, as veteran forward Luke Glendening took a violent shot to the head, which forced him out of the game early.

Flames defenseman Nikita Zadorov spotted Glendening about to play the puck in the neutral zone and lined him up for a hit. The only problem was that since Glendening was leaning forward to play the puck and he wasn't upright, Zadorov made significant head contact.

Glendening was very slow to get up and went straight down the tunnel and was placed in concussion protocol. He did not return to the game. Despite the obvious head contact, Zadorov was not issued a penalty on the play.

Player Safety will take a look at this one. Given the fact that there was an injury on the play, it seems likely that Zadorov will face a suspension, as seems to be the trend with these sorts of hits.
