Last season, it was a tough pill to swallow for the Maple Leafs, who were bounced, yet again, by the Boston Bruins in the first round of the playoffs. This year, with the
hiring of Craig Berube and a new coaching staff, revamped goaltending trio, bolstered blueline, highlighted by the arrival of
Chris Tanev,
a new captain in Auston Matthews and a potential infusion of youth on the way with players like
Easton Cowan,
Fraser Minten and
Nikita Grebenkin pushing for roster spots, the hope is that the Leafs can make a little more noise and go further in the 2024-25 postseason.
