Woll's issue was not an injury, but, rather, an illness. Meanwhile, Benoit was held out with an upper-body injury and Roy is 'nicked up' with a lower-body injury, per Craig Berube.
Already without Max Domi as he also deals with a lower-body injury, the Leafs were split into two teams on Saturday for their first scrimmage of training camp.
Midway through the scrimmage, new Leafs forward Dakota Joshua drove wide on Dakota Mermis before cutting towards the net and Anthony Stolarz. As he was being beat wide, Mermis hooked into Joshua which threw him off balance and sent him crashing into Stolarz.
The collision looked far worse than it inevitably was with how Stolarz's body was twisted, but he and Joshua were both quick to get back to their feet and continue playing.
After a season that saw Stolarz undergo knee surgery, the Leafs and Stolarz are certainly hopeful that his injury issues are behind him as they continue to work on an extension ahead of the regular season.
Whether the extension gets over the finish line or not is a story for another day, but in the meantime, the Leafs will prepare to kick off their pre-season schedule on Sunday with an afternoon game against the Ottawa Senators.
