The Maple Leafs were bit hard by the injury bug on day 3 of training camp as they announced Joseph Woll and two other key players can not skate on Saturday.
Already without Max Domias he deals from a lower-body injury, two days of heavy, physical and grinding on-ice sessions have led to a trio of Leafs joining him on the sidelines on Saturday.
Ahead of day 3 of camp, the Leafs announced that Joseph Woll would not participate Saturday due to illness. In addition to Woll's illness, the Leafs also announced that Simon Benoit and Nicolas Roy were dealing with injuries.
Benoit is dealing with an upper-body ailment while Roy is battling a lower-body injury.
With the forward and defenceman out for the day, something to keep an eye on is who head coach Craig Berube elevates into their spots as it would indicate who is on the inside track to earn a roster spot or who has impressed the staff this far.
Berube should be providing an update on the status of each of the three following the conclusion of practice today, with the hope being that there is nothing that will lead to an extended absence.
In the meantime, the Leafs will have to make some decisions as to who will suit up for Sunday's afternoon game against the Ottawa Senators to kick of the pre-season schedule.
