Stolarz's last six games show exactly why that was possible, as he went 6-0-0 over that time frame, with a fantastic 1.82 goals against average and a scintilating .936 save percentage. It included a shutout over the Columbus Blue Jackets, and a win over the Florida Panthers last week, where he stopped 29 of 31 shots.
While it's not a bad problem to have, Leafs head coach Craig Berube will have to make a tough decision once the Stanley Cup Playoffs start, and it certainly won't be easy.
In the meantime, if Stolarz continues to put up numbers like this, Berube's decision will be all but made for him. No coach would take a goaltender out of the crease when they're playing that well, especially once the post-season starts.
