Multiple Sportsnet analysts have discussed Craig Berube's work behind the bench in Toronto, and one analyst credited the Leafs' head coach for the decision that led directly to their Game 6 win over Ottawa.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are coming off an exhilarating Game 6 victory against the Ottawa Senators -- a win that has propelled them into the second round to face the Florida Panthers.
A key contributor in the victory was Max Pacioretty, who scored the game-winning goal after being promoted to the second line.
Interestingly, Pacioretty's continued presence in the lineup was a calculated decision by Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube. Despite the team's struggles with Pacioretty in the lineup earlier in the series, Berube stood by the veteran forward-and that patience paid off.
As noted by Sam McKee on The FAN590 radio show, Berube's coaching philosophy stands in contrast to that of former Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe:
"Sheldon Keefe probably would've made lineup changes going into that game But [Craig Berube] leaves [Max Pacioretty] in, elevates him, and he shoots it in. That's a credit to the coach."
Berube's calm and patient demeanor has clearly influenced the team. Following back-to-back losses earlier in the series, he remained composed in media appearances -- an attitude that seems to have resonated with his players.
His patience was also evident in his decision to stick with starting goaltender Anthony Stolarz, despite two disappointing performances in Games 4 and 5. That trust in his players appears to be a hallmark of Berube's leadership style.
Looking ahead, Berube will need to carry this steady approach into the next series. The Florida Panthers, last year's Stanley Cup champions, know what it takes to win in the playoffs, and the Leafs will need every ounce of Berube's experience to meet the upcoming challenge.
