Craig Berube Reveals Maple Leafs' Mindset Before Yet Another Elimination Game

The Toronto Maple Leafs, and the team's Core 4 faced some heavy criticism after losing Game 5 to the Ottawa Senators, missing another chance to close out an NHL playoffs series.

With another chance to end the series tonight, or face a Game 7, coach Craig Berube insists his players aren't buckling under pressure.

Asked what the mood is like going into Game 6, Berube said it's an all-business attitude, and his team is ready and itching to get going.

Berube has already made the bold decision to stick with goaltender Anthony Stolarz tonight, despite losses in his last two games. It's another sign the team and coach aren't feeling the same sense of dismay that some fans and analysts are feeling.

Members of the Maple Leafs will have to do their best to shut off the crowd noise at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa and play the game they know they can play to avoid going to Game 7 back in Toronto this weekend.

Berube was noticeably defensive of the team's "Core 4" following the Game 5 loss, saying it's not just on four players to clinch the series, but every member of the Maple Leafs.

Berube has decided to keep his top line of Matthew Knies, Auston Matthews, and Mitch Marner in tact for tonight. Veteran Max Pacioretty has been moved up to the second line with John Tavares, and William Nylander.
