Elliotte Friedman reveals Leafs' message to Nick Robertson

In this Monday's edition of the 32 Thoughts Podcast, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman spoke about where the team is currently at regarding their prospect Nick Robertson as he sits on the bubble of playing in the NHL once again.
After reports last week surfaced from Friedman that Robertson would be interested in a trade if he wasn't called up soon, it looks like the Leafs have a clear message in mind for Robertson - he needs to earn the call up with his play for the Marlies.
Friedman noted the fact that the Leafs roster is only carrying 12 forwards right now, and in the inevitable case of injury or struggle to any player, Robertson will be a prime candidate to be called up if he can sustain good play in the AHL.
With his early season play so far, it seems Robertson has really received the message. In four games with the Marlies so far, Robertson has recorded 3 goals and 3 assists, and has shown off his elite skills. If he continues his current pace, it won't be long at all until Robertson is called up on the merit of his play.
