Toronto Maple Leafs Enter Into Interesting New Partnership

The Toronto Maple Leafs have entered into an interesting new partnership, and have introduced the team's new official Greek restaurant.

As one of the most marketable and valuable teams in the National Hockey League, the Toronto Maple Leafs have no shortage of team endorsements and sponsorships.
In recent years, they've entered into a partnership with The Dairy Farmers of Ontario, and feature a stylized "Milk" logo on the front of their sweaters. Additionally, the club also partnered with Oreo last season for their helmet sponsorship, creating a humorous "Milk and Cookies" style advertisement.
The Maple Leafs have now entered into a partnership with Jimmy The Greek, a quick-service restaurant based in Ontario that specializes in Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is entering its 40th year in business.
James Mitrothanasis, Director of Network Development for the eatery, explained the new partnership as a "personal milestone".
"This isn't just a business partnership, it's a personal milestone. Our grandfather, Jimmy, has been a die-hard Leafs fan for decades. To now be part of the team's journey is something really special for our family and our entire organization."

Nicole Mitrothanasis, Director of Operations for Jimmy The Greek, touted the deep roots that the eatery has in the community.
"There's nothing quite like the loyalty of a Toronto Maple Leafs fan.That deep-rooted connection to community and legacy is something we live and breathe every day. We're proud to stand behind the team and create meaningful connections with the fans who make it all possible."

As part of the partnership, Maple Leafs fans who attend home games at Scotiabank Arena in downtown Toronto will be seeing Digitally Enhanced Dasherboard (DED) signage of the restaurant, along with special promo nights and giveaways.
In the dog days of summer, the news may not be plentiful, but the Leafs are still trying to do some off-ice business to give us something to talk about, so kudos to them for that.
