While Brad Treliving has been busy reconfiguring the forward group of the Maple Leafs, Senior Director of Minor League Operations Ryan Hardy has been keeping busy revamping the Toronto Marlies' roster almost from top to bottom.
Stevens, like Pare, is 25 and joined the Marlies at the end of his collegiate career in 2024 on a one-year deal. In 21 games with the Marlies last season, Stevens collected a mere four points (2 goals, 2 assists). Before joining the Marlies, Stevens played 142 games for Boston University, where he tallied 26 goals and 50 points.
While neither is expected to make an impact in the NHL, the Marlies' roster has had an abundance of turnover so far this off-season, so having a pair of forward familiar with the system will allow the coaching staff to lean on them while the newcomers adjust.
