Earlier today we took a look at some low cost defenseman TSN's Craig Button suggested the Leafs could go after to improve their blueline. Button's options weren't exactly mind blowing or game changing. The NHL analyst also put together a couple of forwards he think could help the Leafs in their playoff push. It wouldn't be surprising if Leafs' head coach Mike Babcock asks for some veteran help at the deadline.Like any coach, he wants some good old reliable boys that he can plug anywhere up and down the lineup. Let's take a look at Button's suggestions.Wayne Simmonds/Philadelphia Flyers - Simmonds has been attached to the Leafs' for the last couple of weeks. His play style can help the Leafs' especially on the second power play unit.Michael Ferland/Carolina Hurricanes - Ferland is a big body who can create some space at 6'2" 200lbs and can put the puck in the net too, scoring 21 goals last year.Trevor Lewis/Los Angeles Kings - A cheap option that wouldn't be a big deal to scratch if it doesn't work out. Lewis can plug in anywhere in the lineup and is a two time Stanley Cup champ.
