The Toronto Maple Leafs decided to stay quiet before the NHL roster freeze for the holidays. Coming out of the freeze they'll continue to try and make a move to help bolster the team's playoff run. While general manager Kyle Dubas has said his main focus is to try and get Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner signed in season, both stars have shown they'd prefer to wait until after the season. In the mean time the Leafs' need some help on defense and Craig Button of TSN listed three potential defenseman who could help the team. While Button's options aren't blockbuster type moves, the depth could possibly help, let's take a look. Niklas Kronwall/Detroit Red Wings - Kronwall helped Mike Babcock lead the Detroit Red Wings to a Stanley Cup and the two are familiar with each other. Alex Edler/Vancouver Canucks - Edler could help on the power play with his big shot and can eat up minutes.Ben Lovejoy/New Jersey Devils - Like Kronwall, Lovejoy has a Stanley Cup ring and the 34 year old is a righty who could help ease off some of Ron Hainsey's ice time. Which of the three do you think could help the Leafs?
