A new strategic partnership between the NHL and popular streaming service DAZN will see NHL.TV streaming in over 200 countries around the world.
The NHL's streaming service outside of North America, NHL.TV, is getting a brand new home under a massive new strategic partnership with DAZN.
An announcement from the league states DAZN will be the official carrier of NHL games in more than 200 countries around the world.
"Under the new partnership, NHL.TV will be available on DAZN as a standalone subscription or as an add-on to existing DAZN packages, across markets of operation in nearly 200 countries around the world."
Under the new partnership, NHL.TV will be available in countries such as China, Singapore, Germany, Turkey, and many others. Viewers in Canada, however, will have to stick with Sportsnet+. That service recently announced a steep price hike leaving fans feeling gouged.
"We wanted to let you know that effective September 9, 2025, the price of your Sportsnet+ Premium annual plan will increase from your current price of $249.99 plus applicable taxes per year to $324.99 plus applicable taxes per year."
NHL Chief Operating Officer Steve McArdle said 30 percent of NHL players are born outside of North America, and it's important to ensure people in those countries are able to watch their homegrown stars shine on the international stage.
