Joseph Woll's leave of absence continues to loom over the Maple Leafs, and one remark from Leafs GM Brad Treliving on Monday has led to some additional concerns.

The elephant in the room in Toronto at the moment is clearly the lingering absence of Joseph Woll, who took a leave from the team for personal reasons.
Leafs GM Brad Treliving was very clear in his initial report on the matter that Woll's absence was family related and was not related to substance abuse issues. Once that was established, the timeline for his return seemed far less concerning.
While the Leafs did address the clear hole in the lineup by offering a PTO to former Leaf James Reimer, the fact remains that Woll is a highly skilled goaltender and the Leafs are a better, more dangerous team with him than without.
Unfortunately, the latest comments from Treliving have created a new level of concern about the potential lengthiness of Woll's timeline.
Per Treliving on Monday, the Leafs still do not have an update on Woll.
Naturally, the team has remained very supportive of the 27-year-old goaltender in his absence, standing behind him firmly. Still, with so little actual information available on the situation, that's what's causing the most unrest among the fanbase.
Recently, Nick Kypreos had pointed out during a segment on The Real Kyper & Bourne that Woll is going to miss 1 month at the very minimum, give the fact that he has missed training camp, and that if he takes two weeks off, it will take him another two weeks to get back up to speed.
At this point, given Treliving's most recent comments and not having any update on Woll's status, it's starting to feel like his absence is going to be a longer one than I'm sure most are expecting.
