Maple Leafs Share Official Updates on William Nylander and Chris Tanev

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has provided anticipated updates on William Nylander and Chris Tanev, who were both hurt in a 5-4 OT win in Boston.
The Leafs came back from a 3-goal deficit on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins to escape with a thrilling overtime victory.
Unfortunately, the win was accompanied by a first period injury to defenseman Chris Tanev, who was seen leaving the rink with his arm in a sling.
Not only did the Leafs lose Tanev, but a third period injury to William Nylander kept him out of action in overtime.
Leafs head coach Craig Berube had already confirmed that Tanev would not play on Friday against the New York Rangers, but was considered day-to-day.
On Thursday afternoon, Berube was on "Real Kyper and Bourne", where he was asked to provide a more comprehensive update on Nylander and Tanev. Thankfully, what he shared was some positive news.
"Nylander will be fine. I think you'll see him tomorrow. He's doing well, he's fine. For Tanev it's still up in the air. For me, its still day-to-day. He will not be in the lineup tomorrow. What he's got, as it goes along its about how he feels. If he's feeling better and better, this guy's a warrior and he's gunna play but for now its day-to-day."
The Leafs appear to be preparing as though Nylander will be in the lineup on Friday night, and it sounds like, while Tanev will miss some time, he could be back much sooner than expected, which is very good news considering how bad the injury initially appeared.
