The Maple Leafs will delay the debut of Cayden Primeau for at least one more game after the team announces that Anthony Stolarz will draw in against the Red Wings on Saturday.
It also gave the organization the opportunity to give Hildeby more consistent starts to continue his development with the Toronto Marlies, rather than warming the bench behind Stolarz.
Cayden Primeau's Leafs Debut to Wait
After stopping 29 of 31 shots in the season and home opener, the Leafs have confirmed that Anthony Stolarz will be between the pipes again on Saturday in Detroit.
Primeau's Leafs debut will have to wait a few more days, but the former seventh-round pick likely won't have to wait long. The Leafs scheduled to play back-to-back games on Monday and Tuesday, which should give us our first look at the 6-foot-3 goaltender.
Primeau will either face the Red Wings on Monday, which is now a 2PM start, or Nashville Predators on Tuesday. Either way, the 26-year-old will should be making his debut at Scotiabank Arena.
