"The Carolina Hurricanes and Toronto Maple Leafs have been linked in trade rumours going back to last year. Previously it was a possible trade to land Justin Faulk or Noah Hanifin, however Hanifin was eventually moved to the Calgary Flames. In recent months there was speculation that the Canes' were pushing hard to acquire William Nylander, but the Leafs decided to keep Nylander and sign him long term after a lengthy contract dispute. Now NHL insider Pierre LeBrun reports that trade negotiations between the two teams might be far from over. After moving on from Nylander, LeBrun reports that the 'Canes are showing strong interest in young forward Kasperi Kapanen. Would you be willing to sacrifice Kapanen for one of the 'Canes young defenseman?
