Intriguing Maple Leafs Prospect Officially Loaned Out to Another Club

After a standout performance in the World Junior Summer Showcase earlier this summer, Swedish defenseman Victor Johansson has been loaned to IK Oskarshamn of the HockeyAllsvenskan from Leksands IF.

This is a move that should bode very well for Johansson's development and something the Toronto Maple Leafs should be excited about as well. While the HockeyAllsvenskan is a tier below the SHL, it's a perfect landing spot for the 19-year-old, who should receive a lot of ice-time with this move.

Johansson torched his way through the J20 Nationell last year with Leksands IF J20, where he tallied 7 goals and 39 points, before seeing 5 games with the big club in the SHL at the end of the year.

So far, Johansson has played in 2 games in the U20 Nationell for Leksands IF with 2 goals, as well as a 1 appearance in the SHL before being loaned out to Oskarshamn.
