Many thought Anthony Stolarz took a pay-cut to stay in Toronto, but the full details revealed that the Maple Leafs made a number of concessions to keep him as well.

After weeks of negotiations, the Leafs and Anthony Stolarz ended their stalemate and agreed to a four-year, $15M deal on Sunday afternoon, locking him in until the end of the 2029-2030 season.
The deal not only keeps Stolarz in Toronto for the foreseeable future, but also solidifies their crease, along with with Joseph Woll, for less than $8M per season.
Many expected the 31-year-old to sign for a cap hit between $4.5M and $5.5M, which led to the conclusion that the Leafs got the goaltender locked up at a bargain price.

Maple Leafs Made a Handful of Concessions That Include Trade Protection for Anthony Stolarz

On Monday, full details of Stolarz's new deal were revealed and in order to lock up the former second-round pick, the Leafs handed him signing bonuses in each year of his deal as well as partial no-trade clauses.
Not only did Stolarz get partial no-trade clauses in his new deal, but the Leafs agreed to inserting a full no-trade clause into his current contract that will expire on June 30th.
When the Leafs took to the ice for practice on Monday, head coach Craig Berube kicked things off congratulating Stolarz on his extension and to wrap up practice, Auston Matthews pushed the goaltender into the middle of center ice to lead the team stretches.
"He means a lot. He's the ultimate competitor," said Matthews of Stolarz following practice.
Without Woll for the foreseeable future, the net is undoubtedly Stolarz's, and the Leafs are hopeful that he can duplicate the success he had last season where he posted a 31-8-4 record along with a sparkling .926 save percentage.
