According to reports, there is at least one Western Conference team that has recently shown serious interest in acquiring Nick Robertson from the Maple Leafs.

For Nick Robertson, it's been another summer full of trade rumours, another one-year deal, and another training camp battle for the final roster spot in Toronto.
While the Leafs underwent a massive turnover in the forward group this summer, one thing that remains consistent is Robertson being on the outside looking in once again as training camp progresses toward its end.
Despite signing a one-year deal to avoid arbitration in August, TSN's Chris Johnston reported that the 23-year-old Robertson is still open to moving on. Now, it appears he may finally get his wish.

Western Conference Team Showing Significant Interest in Nick Robertson

According to Elite Prospects' Cam Robinson, there are multiple Western Conference teams that have shown interest in Robertson in recent days, noting that the San Jose Sharks are a team to keep an eye on.
Leafs GM Brad Treliving has been trying to move Calle Jarnkrok and David Kampf all summer to free roster and cap space -- and to a lesser extent Robertson -- but had been unsuccessful. However, as training camp nears its end, it would appear as though there is a market for the former second-round pick at the very least.
While not ideal to trade young player with some promise, it has been percolating since Robertson first made his debut. Year after year, he was always the odd man out, and even when he did find a regular season lineup spot last year, he was scratched in all but three post-season games.
It might finally be time to move on, and for Robertson, I'm sure he'll welcome a change of scenery and a fresh slate with another club.
