After very lengthy negotiations, the Maple Leafs and goaltender Anthony Stolarz have agreed on a multi-year extension at a very reasonable cap hit.

During Saturday night's broadcast of the Leafs and Canadiens pre-season game, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman shared the Leafs and Stolarz were closing in on an extension worth around $4M per season.
Sunday morning, NHL Network's Kevin Weekes confirmed the two sides agreed on a four-year term.

Anthony Stolarz Signs Team-Friendly Deal With Maple Leafs

Kevin Weekes is now reporting that the Leafs and Stolarz have reached an agreement, pending finalization, that will span 4 years and will carry a $3.75M AAV.
Considering many recently predicted that Stolarz's new deal would cost the Leafs between $4.5M and $5.5M, his new extension seems to be a bargain for the Leafs.
Agreeing to a four-year deal that will keep the 31-year-old with the Maple Leafs until the 2030-2031 season at $3.75M gives the Leafs one of the best tandems in the NHL for less than $8M per season for the foreseeable future.
Coming off of a career-high 34 games and 21-8-3 record along with a ridiculous .926 save percentage, the former second-round pick will be asked to live up to his new deal right away with the absence of Joseph Woll.
Both sides were hopeful to get something done before the regular season began to avoid any distractions and have grinded hard since the beginning of training camp to get a deal done that works well for both sides.
