Published December 12, 2017 at 12:31

With no confirmations on what the exact ailment is that's bothering superstar Toronto Maple Leafs forward, Auston Matthews, rumours will continue to swirl after the latest news. Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock stated on Tuesday that Matthews will not be playing in the Leafs Tuesday night matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers. This will be the second game in a row Matthews misses since taking Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly's helmet off the chin. While Matthews was never pulled from the bench for the league's concussion protocol according to multiple sources, chatter has been building that Matthews is currently suffering from concussion like symptoms. Babcock would not commit giving any real details about anything that's going on with Matthews.
