The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Lou Lamoriello announced some roster moves on Tuesday morning. To start, the team has placed forward Nikita Soshnikov on injured reserve. No details have been released in regards to his injury yet or timetable for a return. The 24 year old had last played with the Leafs on November 24th and hadn't recorded a point in any of the three games he played this season. In response to the move, the Leafs also announced they called up winger Kasperi Kapanen from the Toronto Marlies. Kapanen has also dressed up for three NHL games this season, however like Soshnikov, has yet to put anything on the scoreboard. The last time he played with the Leafs was November 4th.
