Babcock Confirms Jason Spezza Will Be Healthy Scratch For Home Opener.

"Everybody is excited for the Toronto Maple Leafs' season to get underway and especially for tonight's home opener. However one Leafs' forward might not be too thrilled. Jason Spezza has been made a healthy scratch for tonight's game against one of his former teams, the Ottawa Senators. The decision is a controversial one and has fans along with analysts confused, especially since it's the home opener. After practice head coach Mike Babcock confirmed Spezza is being scratched and said the vet will play Friday in Columbus. He explained the decision for tonight being that Spezza needs to "get up to speed" on the Leafs' PK style.
