"The Toronto Maple Leafs will open their season tomorrow against the Ottawa Senators and they'll have a special announcement before it. Mike Babcock confirmed with James Duthie of TSN that the Leafs will name a captain sometime between tonight and tomorrow before puck drop. Rewind back a month ago, and the belief was that the Leafs' were preparing to name Auston Matthews captain. Then of course that came to a halt when Matthews police situation came to light. Now it seems that John Tavares is the favourite and will likely be named captain with defenseman Morgan Rielly being the other candidate. Who do you think will be named captain?
