The Toronto Maple Leafs came into Minnesota on Friday afternoon on the heels of a controversial win over the New Jersey Devils that saw them improve to 7-1-3 in the month of November. They faced a tough task against a heavy Minnesota Wild team who had won their last two games, but the Buds were up to the task, skating away with the 4-3 win just one day after the passing of Leafs legend Borje Salming.

The game came right down to the wire with the Wild pressing late in the game with the empty net, while down a goal. With the game on the line, the Wild made sure to put the puck on their best player's stick in hopes that he could do what he's done all season long, scoring some clutch goals. Unfortunately for Kirill Kaprizov, Matt Murray was having no part of a game-tying goal in the final 13 seconds, moving laterally to rob Kaprizov of what should have been a sure goal for "Dolla Dolla Bill Kirill".

The save was 25th of the game and while he didn't post any flashy numbers today, sporting a .893 SV%, he was good when he had to be to preserve the win for the Buds, who now move to 8-1-3 in the month of November, earning 19 of a possible 24 points over their last 12 games. The win also puts the Leafs at 29 points on the season, good for 4th in the overall league standings.
