Following a thrilling Game 2 victory, Leafs head coach Craig Berube provided a disheartening update on the status of goaltender Anthony Stolarz ahead of Game 3.

At the end of Game 1 between the Leafs and the Panthers, Leafs Nation became very concerned with the health of Stolarz when it was reported that he was transferred to the hospital for further evaluation due to the collision with Panthers forward Sam Bennett.
The former teammate of Stolarz did apologize and acknowledged that there was no intent to make contact with Stolarz's head and the NHL's Department of Player Safety believed the same, not handing out any supplemental discipline to the pending free agent.
On Thursday morning, with the Leafs getting set to travel to Florida for Games 3 and 4, Berube shared that the Stanley Cup Champion would not be travelling with the team. The Leafs' bench boss didn't rule out the Stolarz travelling down for Game 4 on Sunday, but was unable to provide any further update as he had not spoken to the netminder before the interview.
With that being said, it is unlikely we see Stolarz between the pipes this week at all. For now, the Leafs will depend on Joseph Woll to man the crease and look to take a 3-0 series lead on Friday night in the Sunshine State.
