"Philadelphia Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds is one of the most talked about players this trade deadline as he can bring a lot of energy for the playoffs. John Shannon of Sportsnet revealed the cost to land Simmonds and Shannon adds that Flyers' general manager Chuck Fletcher's high asking price is currently scaring away teams.Shannon reports the Flyers are looking for a first round pick and a prospect for the 30 year old forward soon to be UFA. Simmonds has registered 16 goals this year and is looking a bit better than his injury riddled season last year. If teams move on to Mark Stone, Tyler Toffoli or others, it could leave the door open for Kyle Dubas to strike. Would you pay a 1st round pick and prospect for Simmonds?
Keep hearing the asking price by Chuck Fletcher for Wayne Simmonds is high...1st pick and a prospect...Teams are shying away.#NHLTrade — John Shannon (@JSportsnet) February 25, 2019
