The phones are buzzing as Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas is trying to make some last minute adjustments to his team. Many believe that the Leafs will try and add some grit to their lineup before the 3PM EST deadline and it looks like one hometown boy might top the list. The Leafs had been linked to Philadelphia Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds last month and it seems they're still in the mix. John Boruk of NBC Sports Philly reports that the Leafs are still in the mix as one of the teams showing interest in Simmonds as the deadline winds down. TSN's Pierre LeBrun has reported over recent weeks that Simmonds value has taken a bit of hit on the open market and might not cost as much as expected. Dubas could swoop in with a last minute offer and Simmonds would compliment head coach Mike Babcock heading into the playoffs. More to come.
