Panthers forward Sam Bennett was up to his old tricks again in Game 3 as he attempted to injure Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok with a clear elbow to the head.

Heading into Game 3, the Leafs knew they were in tough with the Panthers returning to home ice. Not only did they have to navigate different line matchups, but they also drew the short straw with the officials when the NHL named Wes McCauley and T.J. Luxmore as the officials for Friday's game.
There were a number of questionable calls and non-calls throughout the game, including a dangerous cross-check by Anton Lundell on Mitch Marner, but one of the more questionable missed calls involved Sam Bennett, yet again.
After injuring Anthony Stolarz in Game 1 with a forearm to the head, Bennett was on his best behaviour in Game 2.
Unfortunately, the old Bennett returned for Game 3 when he caught Calle Jarnkrok with an elbow to the head a few minutes into overtime as the Leafs were attempting to establish pressure in the offensive zone.

Had Bennett received a penalty he deserved on the play, the Leafs very well could be up 3-0 in the series with an opportunity to close out the series on Sunday in Game 4. Instead, the Leafs will look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead on Sunday, and head back home for Wednesday, and close out the series in Game 5.
