The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas are always looking to beef up their blueline. Unfortunately the Tyson Barrie addition failed but they might have a very reliable defenseman available to them. The San Jose Sharks are arguably in a worse cap situation than the Leafs and might try and move one of their big name defensemen during the offseason. According to Kevin Kurz of The Athletic, moving one of Brent Burns or Marc-Edouard Vlasic might be the only solution. Kurz adds that he feels Vlasic would be willing to waive his full no movement clause to become a member of the Maple Leafs. It would be a dangerous contract for the Leafs to take on, $7million AAV through 2025-26, but he would immediately give the Leafs a huge boost on the blueline for years to come. He'd also be an absolutely great veteran to keep around and help teach Rasmus Sandin and Timothy Liljegren. As well as being a solid vet for the Leafs if they choose to move on from Frederik Andersen. That cap hit would involve some salary going the other and most likely Kasperi Kapanen. Would you like to see the Leafs try and bring in Vlasic?
