The Toronto Maple Leafs made an exciting announcement regarding their return to play in 2025, dropping their official pre-season schedule.
With the 2024-25 season in the books and all the focus now shifting towards the 2025-26 campaign, the Toronto Maple Leafs have followed suit with the rest of the league by dropping their pre-season schedule.
The pre-season is set to kick-off on the 21st of September and will run through the 4th of October. The Leafs will start with 2 games against Ottawa on the 21st and 23rd of September, followed by 2 games against Montreal on the 25th and 27, before finishing things off on the 2nd and 4th of October against Detroit.
It's also interesting to note that they are scheduled to have home-and-home battles with their 3 opponents and all the home games will be played at the Scotiabank Arena. Travelling also shouldn't be too much of an issue considering how close Ottawa, Montreal, and Detroit are.
As for the actual team and player personnel that will be participating in these games, we still don't yet know who will stay, who will go, and who will be brought in to replace the departing players.
Still, we should be in store for some promising prospects taking the ice as well, with
Easton Cowan attempting to do his best to earn a roster spot come October's season opener. Defenseman
Ben Danford will also be looking to make an impact after a strong season for the Oshawa Generals in the OHL.
The regular season schedule is set to drop in the middle of July, but until then, we have the pre-season schedule to tide us over as we await the return of a DNA-altered Maple Leafs team in the fall of 2025.
