"The Toronto Maple Leafs are scoring at an amazing pace to open the season and are getting their names in the record books. Auston Matthews currently leads the league in goals with seven while John Tavares sits right behind him at six. The duo are the first teammates to score six goals in their team's first four games since Wayne Gretzky and Luc Robitaille did so for the LA Kings in 1988-89!Matthews hasn't slowed down at all and is looking to score in his fifth straight game. The forwards aren't the only ones getting it going as defenseman Morgan Rielly has 10 points so far and becomes only of three defenseman in NHL history to have 10 points in their team's first four games. Keeping it on the blueline, Igo Ozhiganov will be scratched tonight in favour Martin Marincin who will play on the third defensive pairing with Travis Dermott. Frederik Gauthier stays in the lineup on the fourth line while Andreas Johnsson will sit again. Frederik Andersen gets the start between the pipes for the Leafs while Jimmy Howard gets the start for the Wings.
