Maple Leafs legend Ed Belfour challenged the Leafs to seek retribution on one particular Senators forward following his actions late in the third period of Game 1.
As the Leafs inched closer to securing a Game 1 win on Sunday, Senators forward Ridly Greig did his best to continue to agitate the Leafs and Leafs Nation.
Thankfully, Stolarz was okay after the collision and the Leafs ultimately walked out of Game 1 unscathed.
On Monday, former Leafs goaltender Ed Belfour was on TLN's Leafs Morning Take, and was asked about Greig's drive to the net and revealed what he would have done in that situation.
"In my day... They try that one time, especially when you're up in a game like that - I'm going to blocker the guy as hard as I can in the face and show them... I know today's game is much different and you probably wouldn't get away with it, but at least they would probably think twice about doing it again."
During his playing days, Belfour was quite the agitator, often seen slashing the backs of players' legs in front of the net before using his blocker to throw some punches.
