Craig Berube provided a very concerning update on the injury status of Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz following Thursday's morning skate.

Anthony Stolarz has not played, or even skated, since more than a week ago when he was mysteriously pulled from a 5-3 loss to the Boston Bruins due to injury.
When the second period began against the Bruins, it was Dennis Hildeby that was in the crease for the Leafs, with a later announcement confirming that Stolarz was hurt in the first frame.

Berube's Update on Stolarz Raises Concern

At the time, Berube said that Stolarz's injury was nothing to be concerned about and the former second-round pick was considered day-to-day. However, when Stolarz didn't take to the ice again on Thursday like other injured Leafs, concerns began to rise.
Stolarz's continued absence has prompted reporters to ask Berube directly on Thursday for an update on his condition. His response certainly wasn't what anyone was expecting.
"Worse than we thought (initially). He's not ready to get on the ice yet and do the things he has needed to do. Hopefully it's soon. I really don't have a timetable for him. Maybe tomorrow he'll be on the ice, I'm not sure."
Thankfully, timing worked out in that Joseph Woll was ready to return as Stolarz got injured. Woll has played some wonderful hockey thus far this season, and the hope is that he can continue to do so.
The Leafs leaned too much on Stolarz in Woll's absence, but I hope Hildeby has shown enough to warrant a few extra starts if Stolarz is out for an extended period of time so that they don't burn out Woll in the interim.
After a win against the Blues on Tuesday, Woll is expected to start again on Thursday when the Leafs take on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Do you think Stolarz's injury was partially from being over-worked?
