Over the weekend TSN's Frank Seravalli revealed that two teams had inquired about Detroit Red Wings center Luke Glendening. One of those teams was the Toronto Maple Leafs. Seravalli also mentioned that the Wings weren't exactly just going to give Glendening away.Looking at the stat sheet, including some advanced stats, according to HockeyReference, Glendening has a 44.5% CF/60 at 5v5 this season, which is the second-highest total of his career. As Editor In Leaf points out, Frederik Gauthier posted a 46.8% in 21 games last season and was crucified for it.Glendening would fit right in for Leafs head coach Mike Babcock as he's already coached him and be a toy similar to Roman Polak and Leo Komarov. He seems to be one of those players that execute all the fundamentals of the game, just like Dominic Moore, except younger. The need for Glendening isn't necessarily there, so if he's picked up the move has Babcock all over it.
