It's a storyline we're starting to hear a lot, if the Toronto Maple Leafs wish to have any playoff success, they need to improve their blueline. While the Leafs biggest asset for trade is James van Riemsdyk, the team has almost but guaranteed he won't be traded. Tyler Bozak could be considered next, however center depth is needed just as much as blueline depth come playoff time. Ideally the Leafs don't want to touch their leftwing depth with Hyman, Marleau, JVR and Martin all having solidified their spots. That brings us to right winger Leo Komarov, the physical winger has slowly played his way down the depth chart this season and just so happens to be on an expiring contract. You would love to have him come playoff time, however you'd also love to have some depth down the right side spot on defence. While it's likely the Leafs try and work something out to bring JVR back next season, it's unlikely they do the same with Komarov unless he's willing to take a significant pay cut. No matter who the Leafs try and pick up before the deadline, the cost won't be cheap. It will likely have to include Komarov a pick and a prospect. Would you be willing to move Komarov for possibly Mike Green from the Red Wings?
