"When you hear a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs got fined for embellishment, the first name that probably pops into your head Nazem Kadri.
That was not the case on Thursday as the National Hockey League slapped Maple Leafs net minder Frederik Andersen with a $2,000 fine for embellishment for incident back on New Year's Eve versus the Vegas Golden Knights.
As you can see in the video below, Andersen goes out of his way to fall down and flail his arms after his skates made contact with Vegas forward David Perron. The officials on the ice were not buying it and neither was the league office.

Andersen received the hefty fine because he was already issued a warning for another incident that occurred back on November 24 in a game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Since the NHL started dishing out fines for embellishment, Andersen is just the second ever goaltender to ever draw one. Philadelphia Flyers net minder Michal Neuvirth was hit with a $2,000 fine back in the 2014-15 season while he was a member of the Buffalo Sabres. "
