Frederik Andersen Honored For His Terrific Month

"With today being the first day of December, the National Hockey League handed out their awards for November.

The league named Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen the Second Star for November. After going 6-5-0 and posting a 3.46 goals-against average and a .896 save pecentage during October, Andersen went 9-2-1 with a 2.14 GAA and .938 save %.

Andersen allowed two goals or fewer in eight of his 12 games last month, including a pair of shutouts, helping the Maple Leafs to a 10-4-1 record.

Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon took home First Star honors with five goals, 20 points and a +11 goal differential in 12 games.

St. Louis Blues center Brayden Schenn was named Third Star of November for his seven goals and 19 points during his 12 games.
