Steven Lorentz's status for Monday's game remains uncertain as Craig Berube hints the Leafs forward may miss time after leaving Saturday's game with an injury.

Midway through the first period, Lorentz headed to the Leafs' dressing room after taking a heavy hit from Red Wings defenceman Ben Chiarot.
After playing just 1:17 of the first period, the Leafs PR team announced between the second and third periods that he would not return due to an upper-body injury.
Lorentz is the second member of the Leafs' fourth line to suffer an injury after Scott Laughton suffered a lower-body injury in a pre-season game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Craig Berube's Update on Lorentz Suggests He Will Miss Time

Following an abysmal and sloppy game that led to a 6-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings Saturday night, Berube provided an update on Lorentz that suggests the former seventh-round pick could miss some time.
The Leafs' bench boss shared that Lorentz would be re-evaluated on Sunday which suggests he could miss at least Monday's rematch against the Wings.
While Lorentz may miss sometime, it doesn't seem like it is anything concussion related given Anthony Stolarz's comments revealing the forward was walking around the room following the game.
Losing Lorentz would be a rather significant blow to the Leafs' bottom-six given his versatility, but it may ultimately force the Leafs to put rookie Easton Cowan into the lineup to make his highly anticipated NHL debut.
