A member of the Toronto Maple Leafs is facing some criticism from head coach Craig Berube as the team prepares for Game 2 against the Ottawa Senators.
Now, as the team prepares for Game 2 against the Sens, Berube is once again speaking bluntly. This time, it involves one of his own players.
However, he's failed to score in his last 12 games, and Berube believes McMann needs to make better decisions when he has the puck, and do more for the team as a whole.
"He's getting his attempts. There's times where I'm not sure the attempt is worth it. I'd like to see him delay a little bit or hang on to pucks a little bit more. He needs to get on the inside. He can provide more. He can do more."
The move, and his comments on McMann, show that Berube is not messing around in the post-season and expects the best out of his players regardless of where they land in the lineup.
Thankfully for McMann, he had been able to form some tremendous chemistry with Robertson and Domi at points during the regular season, with the trio producing a lot of points for the team during their time together. Hopefully their success can extend into the playoffs as well and that McMann can get out of his current rut.
